Producer

Temple Bruer

Australia

Temple Bruer is a family-owned South Australian producer founded by David and Barbara Bruer in 1973 and now led by their son Michael. Its vineyards span Langhorne Creek, Eden Valley, Loxton and Kingston Road, with all sites certified A-grade organic by NASAA. The estate also holds EU organic, ISO 9001 and HACCP certifications and participates in the Greenhouse Challenge. Its approach combines low-water viticulture, Smart-Dyson trellising, low-SO₂ yeasts and preservative-free bottling, with vegan-friendly, carbon-neutral wines. The wines are intended to express their varieties, vineyards and the care of the people behind them, while The Agonist range explores the relationship between organic farming and scientific enquiry.
