Pedro Parra y Familia is a family-owned artisanal winery founded in 2011 by Pedro Parra and his wife Camila in Chile’s Itata Valley, in the Southern Region. Working in Guarilihue Alto and Ñipas, the family focuses on old, ungrafted, dry-farmed bush vines on granitic and volcanic ash soils, with organic farming practices and some biodynamic elements, though not broadly certified. Winemaking is minimal-intervention, using whole clusters, cold fermentations, and élevage in concrete, stainless steel, and large-format wood to express terroir with purity and honesty. Pedro Parra, a highly experienced terroir consultant with advanced academic training, leads the project, while the wider Parra family is also involved. The wines are terroir-driven, with a particular exploration of País from old-vine parcels.
