Niepoort & Pérez Calderera is a collaborative project between Dirk Niepoort of Portugal’s Niepoort Vinhos and Bierzo winemaker Raúl Pérez Calderera. The partnership produces D.O.P. Bierzo wines from Mencía and Godello sourced in the Sil valley, where sandy and slate soils shape the fruit. The wines reflect the involvement of both families and their two principal winemakers, combining Niepoort’s Portuguese perspective with Pérez Calderera’s local knowledge. No organic or biodynamic certifications, vineyard area, or bottling volumes are disclosed.
