Immich-Batterieberg is a historic Mosel estate owned since 2008 by winemaker Gernot Kollmann and his partners, who also restored the 12th-century castle formerly linked to the Immich family. Its vineyards are entirely Grand Cru parcels planted to very old, pre-phylloxera ungrafted vines on steep slate- and quartzite-rich sites. The estate farmed organically for a decade before gaining certification in 2022. In the cellar, Kollmann follows a low-intervention approach, using stainless steel and old oak, ambient yeast fermentations, and minimal sulfur. The range includes cru wines as well as site and Mosel blends, with a strong focus on site expression.
