Georg Lingenfelder

Georg Lingenfelder is a family-run estate in Großkarlbach, Pfalz, owned and managed by Rainer Karl Lingenfelder since 1990, with Georg Lingenfelder leading the wine line and brand. The family tradition spans 13–14 generations. Vineyards are farmed ecologically, with no herbicides or insecticides, permanent cover crops, dry farming, minimal machinery and a strong focus on biodiversity and soil health. The estate works with varieties including Riesling, Scheurebe, Pinot Noir, Morio Muskat and Sylvaner, including old vines. Wines are hand-picked and naturally fermented with native yeasts, minimal sulfur and no filtration or fining. In the cellar, gravity movement, underground cellars and evaporative cooling help reduce energy use. The resulting wines express Pfalz terroir through a low-intervention approach.
