Domaine Gérard Seguin

France

Domaine Gérard Seguin is a family-run estate in Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy, where the Seguin family has cultivated vines for three generations. Gérard Seguin and his son Jérôme oversee both vineyard and cellar work across a portfolio focused on Pinot Noir and old-vine, single-vineyard wines. The domaine emphasizes meticulous, respectful farming: chemical herbicides have been abandoned, soils are worked regularly, yields are controlled through green harvesting, and pest management uses sexual confusion. Winemaking is gentle, with lees aging, partial new oak, and bottling without filtration when possible. The estate farms massal-selection vines, including historic plantings, and adapts its cellar practices to vintage conditions while prioritizing freshness, quality, and typicity.
