Château Caronne-Sainte-Gemme is a Haut-Médoc estate on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, with gravel-rich vineyards on a plateau of iron-rich sandstone. Its classic plantings are led by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot and Petit Verdot. The property was owned by the Borie family from 1900, later managed by the Nony family, and acquired by Bernard Magrez in 2022; fourth-generation François Nony continues to oversee daily operations. Winemaking involves François Nony, cellar master Bruno Guyomar and oenologist Olivier Dauga. Harvesting combines manual and mechanical work, with approximately 50–70% done by hand. No organic or biodynamic certification, sustainability certification or explicit eco-practices are reported.
