Champagne Chassenay d’Arce

France

Founded in 1956 by five winegrowers in Ville-sur-Arce, Chassenay d’Arce is a family cooperative bringing together around 130 families and several generations of growers in the Côte des Bar. Its vineyards lie across 14 villages on Kimmeridgian soils, with Pinot Noir at the heart of the plantings alongside Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Blanc. The house follows a collective, terroir-focused approach, producing characterful Champagnes faithful to Côte des Bar tradition. Sustainability is central, with Sustainable Winegrowing and Vignerons Engagés commitments, organic-certified parcels, attention to biodiversity and increasing use of recycled glass bottles. Winemaking is led by cellar master Romain Aubriot, with cuvées including the Cuvée Première Brut and more distinctive, long-aged wines.
