Poderi Aldo Conterno is a family-owned estate in Piedmont, founded by Aldo Conterno in 1969 and now run by his sons Stefano, Franco, and Giacomo. The estate farms organically, with no synthetic herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, or fertilizers used since 1995; only copper and sulfur are permitted, and organic certification was obtained in 2015. Grapes are hand-harvested, and the vineyards are worked with low-intervention, non-invasive organic and biodynamic practices. In the cellar, the family preserves traditional Barolo methods while pairing them with a modern commitment to sustainability.
