France

Plaimont is a cooperative of 600 winegrowing families rooted in the Gers and the Pyrenean Piedmont, producing wines across Saint Mont, Madiran, Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, Jurançon and Côtes de Gascogne. Its identity combines collective craftsmanship with research, ecological transition and the preservation of local varieties. For more than twenty years, Plaimont has worked to revive Tardif, rediscovered in a pre-phylloxera vineyard dating from 1830 and classified as a Historic Monument; it also maintains an ampelographic conservatory and protects rare heritage vines. Sustainable practices include HVE3 and organic certification. Through the Atelier des Cépages and experimental projects, the cooperative explores new responses to environmental challenges while expressing the diverse terroirs and distinctive grapes of southwest France.
