Domaine Coste-Caumartin

France

Domaine Coste-Caumartin is a family-owned estate in Pommard, Burgundy, associated with the Sordet family since 1793 and now led by Jérôme Sordet, owner and winemaker since 1988. Its vineyards span Pommard, Saint-Romain and Beaune, producing red and white wines that seek a balance of power, freshness, finesse and elegance while expressing their terroirs. The domaine follows traditional Burgundian viticulture, including Guyot pruning, careful soil work and reasoned fertilisation, and holds HVE Level 3 certification from the 2019 vintage, following earlier Sustainable Agriculture certification. Harvesting is mainly manual, with rigorous sorting, indigenous-yeast fermentation and measured oak ageing. Modern winery equipment supports precise, individualised cuvées without losing the character of each vintage. Visitors are welcomed for tastings in the estate’s 17th-century vaulted cellar.
