Bodegas Castaño is a family-owned winery in Yecla, Murcia, founded in 1950 and now run by the founder’s three children. Its vineyards extend across four estates and varied soils, with a strong focus on Monastrell and careful vineyard handling. Certified organic and using manual harvesting, the winery is increasing its organically certified vineyard area while combining tradition with modern technology. Its broad range includes fresh, fruity young wines, barrel-aged reds, rosés, sweet whites, and Monastrell-led blends and varietal wines. Alongside Monastrell, it works with native and international varieties including Macabeo, Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, reflecting a respect for terroir and an experimental approach. The family also produces extra virgin olive oil from its own olive groves.
