Peter Zemmer

Italy

Peter Zemmer is a family-owned Alto Adige estate founded in 1928 and still run by the Zemmer family, now under third-generation Peter Zemmer in Cortina sulla Strada del Vino. The winery is rooted in South Tyrol’s diverse hillside and single-vineyard sites, with a strong focus on terroir, microclimate, and site-specific expression. In the vineyard, it follows a minimal-intervention approach with careful manual work, strict selection, and limited use of fertilizers and plant protection products. In the cellar, wines are aged on fine lees for balance and texture, while selected site wines mature in oak. Renewable energy has powered the winery since 2007, underscoring a sustainability-led philosophy behind its natural, origin-driven wines.
