Palazzone

Palazzone is a family-run estate at Rocca Ripesena near Orvieto, owned and operated by the Dubini family since 1969 and now in its third generation under Pietro Dubini. Its hillside vineyards are worked mainly by hand and lie on distinctive sedimentary clay, silt and sandy soils shaped by ancient marine seabeds, rivers and tufa formations. The estate focuses on traditional Orvieto varieties including Procanico, Grechetto, Verdello and Malvasia, alongside selected international grapes. Its approach emphasizes respect for tradition, careful vineyard work and an artisanal, personal interpretation of the territory. Palazzone describes its wines as capable of longevity and seeks to express vintage variation, particularly in its whites. Long-term stewardship is emphasized, although no formal organic or biodynamic certification is mentioned.
