Tombolini

Italy

Tombolini is a family-rooted estate in Staffolo, in the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico area, with a tradition dating to at least 1954. It produces exclusively Verdicchio from its own vineyards, managing the vines parcel by parcel and using organic farming practices, although no certification is stated. Yields are kept below DOC limits, and selected grapes are hand-harvested. Young winemaker Fulvia Tombolini leads the estate’s contemporary expression of the variety. Its top wines, including the single-vineyard Fiora, are presented in distinctive amphora-shaped bottles; Fiora is fermented in stainless steel and matured on its lees.
