Founded in 1980 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer, Rombauer Vineyards is a California family-owned producer in Napa Valley, now part of E. & J. Gallo’s premium portfolio, with family members still involved in decision-making. The winery works across Napa Valley, Sonoma, the Sierra Foothills and other California regions, and is known for fruit-driven wines, limited-production and single-vineyard bottlings, and a hospitality-focused style. Rombauer is certified California Sustainable, Napa Green, and Fish Friendly Farming, with practices including NDVI vineyard imaging, night harvesting, drip irrigation, solar power, sheep grazing, barn-owl nesting boxes, cover crops, and composting. Winemaking is led by Richie Allen with Luke Clayton, Andrew Holloway, and Joe Coughlin, combining traditional methods with modern precision.
