Family-owned Bodegas Rafael Cambra is based in Valencia’s D.O., where Rafael Cambra makes wines from organically farmed, dry-farmed vineyards. The estate includes old vines on sandy soils, as well as younger plantings on stony, sandy soils at altitude, and grapes are harvested by hand. Its philosophy is to create sustainable harmony with the vineyard. Rafael’s background as a nurseryman, together with the Cambra family’s renowned vineyard nursery—serving producers including Vega Sicilia and Álvaro Palacios—brings a strong focus on vine cultivation. The wines are made with a restrained approach, including stainless-steel fermentation, partial whole-cluster use, and limited ageing in older French oak before bottling.
