Pira Luigi is a family-owned estate in Serralunga d’Alba, Piedmont, with roots in the area dating to the late 19th century and a shift toward viticulture in the 1950s. Today, Giampaolo Pira oversees the cellar and winemaking, working alongside his brother Romolo and their family, who manage the vineyards and winery. The estate farms Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera organically, using natural sulfur- and copper-based treatments, no insecticides, organic fertilizers, cover crops and minimal SO₂, without formal certification. Its wines focus on expressing Serralunga’s distinctive terroir through minimal intervention, including separate Barolo bottlings from vineyards such as Vignarionda, Marenca and Margheria.
