Cava Brut

Gran Gesta is a Cava from Penedès, Spain, produced by the quality-focused cooperative Covides, founded in 1963 and owned by more than 600 growers. Sourced from Covides vineyards, it uses the classic Cava grapes Macabeo, Parellada, and Xarel-lo. Only a small top selection of the harvest is used, then fermented with native yeasts and made by the traditional method. The wine is aged for 18 months in the subterranean cellars of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. Notes highlight Covides’ ongoing work with native yeasts and a low-intervention approach, though no formal sustainability certifications are mentioned. Gran Gesta is also vegan and vegetarian friendly.
