Castellari Bergaglio

Italy

Castellari Bergaglio is a family producer based in Rovereto, in the Gavi area of Piedmont, where the Bergaglio family has grown grapes and made wine since the late 1800s. Today the estate is led by Marco Bergaglio and remains strongly focused on Cortese, with vineyards between Rovereto and Tassarolo. The sites range from white marl and calcareous soils to red clay, shaped by marine breezes and marked day-night temperature swings. The estate emphasizes sustainable viticulture, with careful soil management, respect for biological fertility, and no chemical anti-botrytis treatments. Its wines are described as precise, consistent, and closely tied to terroir, with bottlings such as Fornaci and Rolona expressing different soil characters. Castellari Bergaglio also connects wine with culture through artist collaborations and its Gaviteca project.
