Bodegas Comenge

Spain

Bodegas Comenge is a family-owned boutique winery in Ribera del Duero, founded by Jaime Comenge in 1999. Its certified organic vineyards are managed to encourage biodiversity, with natural ground cover and no insecticides. Working across diverse plots and soils in Curiel de Duero and Pesquera, the estate focuses on expressing the character of each site and vintage. Harvesting and grape selection are carried out by hand, with rapid transport to the winery and fermentation using yeast isolated from its own vineyard. Innovation and research support a style centered on elegant, balanced estate wines, while oak and bottle aging contribute further complexity. The winery’s philosophy places the vineyard, environmental care, and the dedicated work of the Comenge family at the heart of its wines.
