Marchesi Gondi

Italy

Marchesi Gondi is a historic, family-owned estate in Tuscany's Chianti Rufina, founded in 1592 and now run by the 25th generation. With 19.7 hectares of vineyards on a 315-hectare property that also includes olive groves and forest, the winery produces about 50,000 bottles annually under winemaker Fabrizio Moltard. The Gondi family, one of Florence's oldest noble families, has a centuries-long tradition in agriculture, focusing on high-quality wines and olive oil. They manage direct sales through a reservation-based tasting room, online shop, and boutique hospitality. The estate was included in Forbes' list of '100 Iconic Wineries' for its sustainability and brand reputation, and family member Gerardo Gondi recently became President of the Chianti Rufina Consortium.
