Domaine d'Escausses

France

Domaine d’Escausses is a family-owned estate in Gaillac, Tarn, run by the Balaran family. Jean-Marc Balaran leads the winemaking with the assistance of his wife, Roselyne, while their daughter Aurélie operates a separate estate sharing the family cellars. The vineyards include both international and indigenous varieties, notably Duras, Braucol, Muscadelle, Loin de l’œil and Mauzac, with around two-thirds planted to red grapes. The wines reflect Gaillac’s distinctive local grape heritage alongside broader varieties. No specific sustainability certification or ecological initiative is noted.
