Paulessen Riesling

Family-owned and operated by winemaker Andreas Bender, this boutique producer works across Germany’s Pfalz and Moselle regions. Bender owns vineyards, including premium Riesling sites, and also sources grapes from partner growers, overseeing the winemaking himself. In the Pfalz, a south-facing Haardt Mountains site is planted on chalk and clay soils with Guyot-trained vines. The wines are made with a low-intervention approach using natural yeasts, sustainable viticulture, and maturation in French and American oak barriques. The portfolio includes vegan-friendly wines and was recognized in Vivino’s 2020 Wine Style Awards.
