Silver Oak

United States

Silver Oak is a family-owned California winery founded in 1972 by Ray Duncan and Justin Meyer, focused exclusively on Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley and Alexander Valley. Now led by David and Tim Duncan, it is known for a consistent house style shaped by just four winemakers in its history and for aging its wines exclusively in American oak, supported by its own cooperage. Vineyard work is highly precise, with block-by-block farming, soil mapping, and close monitoring of ripeness. Sustainability is central to the estate, with both wineries LEED Platinum certified, the Alexander Valley site also earning Living Building Challenge certification, and vineyards certified by the California Sustainable Wine Alliance, Fish Friendly Farming, and Napa Green.
