Producer

Silice Viticultores

Spain

Founded in 2013 by brothers Carlos and Juan Rodríguez, Silice Viticultores is an independent, family-owned producer in Galicia’s Amandi sub-zone. Its vineyards lie on the steep slopes of the Sil River canyon, where grapes are hand-harvested and farmed using organic and biodynamic methods, without formal certification noted. The wines are made under the direction of Galician winemaker Fredi Torres, formerly of Clos Mogador and founder of Saó del Coster. Remaining independent of the Ribeira Sacra appellation, Silice focuses on small-scale production from this demanding landscape.
