Quinta de Chocapalha

Portugal

Chocapalha is a family-owned estate in the Lisboa region, founded in 1987 by Alice and Paulo Tavares da Silva and now worked by three generations, with Sandra Tavares da Silva as winemaker. The project combines respect for tradition, culture and identity with modern knowledge and technology. The estate’s vineyards benefit from natural freshness and morning dew known locally as “Invisible Rain,” helping shape wines described as fresh, balanced and elegant, with aging potential. Chocapalha practices sustainable farming and integrated production, with attention to vine health, indigenous vegetation, water treatment and biodiversity. Harvesting is carried out variety by variety and plot by plot, and the flagship wines come from older vines and selected parcels.
