Podere Sottoilnoce

Italy

Podere Sotto Il Noce is an estate in Castelvetro di Modena, Emilia-Romagna, managed directly by winemaker Max Brondolo. Farming is organic with biodynamic practices inspired by Steiner methods, including natural composts, cover crops, and biodynamic treatments, and no synthetic chemicals are used in the vineyards. The estate works with silty, limestone-rich soils and focuses on Rifermentati sparkling wines, including Lambrusco, rosé, and white frizzante. Brondolo emphasizes fully ripe grapes to express the local terroir. The name Podere Sotto Il Noce means “under the walnut tree.”
