Jean Paul Bartier is associated with Cave Collonge, a fifth-generation family estate in Lantignié, Beaujolais, run by Christophe Collonge with his son Mathieu. The domaine works Gamay Noir à jus Blanc on varied granite and volcanic soils, including pink granite and blue stone, producing Beaujolais, Beaujolais Villages, Régnié and Morgon, alongside rosé, white, sparkling and Nouveau wines. Grapes are hand-harvested, and the wines are made traditionally, including carbonic maceration. The estate farms conscientiously, preserving biodiversity, and holds the highest HVE Level 3 environmental certification. It also supports a local initiative bringing together young Lantignié winemakers to work for the region’s future.
