Domaine Stéphane Aladame

France

Founded by Stéphane Aladame in 1992 at the age of 18, this independent Burgundy domaine is based in Montagny-lès-Buxy in the Côte Chalonnaise. It focuses on Chardonnay-led Montagny Premier Cru and village wines, alongside Bourgogne blanc and Crémant de Bourgogne made from Chardonnay and Aligoté. Stéphane Aladame’s approach emphasizes healthy grapes, terroir, balance and purity, with indigenous yeasts and a combination of tank and oak élevage. Viticulture includes mechanical soil work, grass cover in some parcels, and sulfur and copper treatments applied according to weather conditions. In early 2026, Aladame resumed farming approximately 2.5 hectares organically and biodynamically, including several Montagny Premier Cru sites. His wines have received recognition from The Wine Enthusiast, The Wine Advocate, Decanter, Tim Atkin and La Revue du Vin de France.
