Domaine Rousset-Peyraguey is a small, family-owned estate in the heart of Sauternes, near Château d’Yquem, run by seventh-generation winemaker Alain Dejean. Its approximately 14 hectares are divided among 58 parcels with blue clay, clay-limestone and sandy soils. The domaine has followed organic practices since the 1970s and is Demeter-certified biodynamic, using natural fertilizers and no chemical treatments. It produces sweet wines with minimal intervention and zero added sulfites, relying on extended oxidative ageing—often several years—in old oak and acacia barrels for stability and character.
