Château Godeau is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estate in Saint-Laurent-des-Combes, managed by Vignobles Florisoone. Acquired by Albéric and Agnès Florisoone in 2012, it reflects their Médoc wine-growing heritage and hands-on commitment to the Right Bank. Vineyard work emphasizes soil health, microbial life, natural grass between rows, ploughing beneath the vines, and meticulous manual canopy management and fruit selection. Harvesting is carried out in successive passes according to plot maturity. With advice from Stéphane Derenoncourt and Julien Lavenu, the wines are made plot by plot, using careful mechanical and manual sorting, small temperature-controlled vats, and manual pigeage. Predominantly Merlot with Cabernet Franc, they are aged for more than 12 months in French oak and presented in a refined, Burgundian-inspired style.
