Ponce is a family-run estate in Manchuela, Castilla-La Mancha, created with the 2005 vintage by Juan Antonio Ponce and his family to give value to inherited old vineyards and the region’s traditional grapes. Working owned and leased dry-farmed bush vines on limestone, clay, sandstone and sandy soils at altitude, the estate farms under organic and biodynamic principles, with manual vineyard work and hand harvesting. Bobal is the leading variety, alongside grapes such as Albilla, Moravia Agria, Monastrell and Garnacha. In the cellar, Ponce follows a low-intervention approach with indigenous yeasts, whole-cluster fermentations, low sulfur, and no fining or filtration, aiming for fresh, balanced Mediterranean wines.
