Villa Matilde Tenuta Altavilla is a family-run Campanian estate based between Rome and Naples. Founded in the 1960s by lawyer Francesco Paolo Avallone, it remains owned and operated by his children, Salvatore and Maria-Ida Avallone. The vineyards lie on the volcanic slopes of Mount Roccamonfina, at Tenuta Rocca dei Leoni, Tenute di Alta and two sites in Irpinia. The estate farms conventionally rather than organically and holds no specific sustainability certifications.
