France

Moulin des Vrillères is a family-run estate in Sury-en-Vaux, in the Sancerre region, operated by Christian Lauverjat with his son Kevin; Karine Lauverjat is also included in the producer name. The estate farms Sancerre vineyards with vines averaging around 30 years old, using reasoned pest management, 75% grass cover, primarily mechanical soil work, and algae to help reduce disease-control inputs. Wines from Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are made in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, with wooden tanks used for Sancerre Rouge aging. Tangential ceramic filtration and in-house bottling reflect the domaine’s practical, environmentally conscious approach, while its stated focus is on typicity, consistency, and individual wine character.
