Domaine Mosny

France

Domaine Mosny is a fifth-generation family estate in Saint-Martin-le-Beau, at the heart of Montlouis-sur-Loire, founded by Ernest Mosny in the 1920s. Thomas Mosny oversees production alongside family members handling sales, development and administration. The domaine focuses on Chenin, producing traditional-method sparkling wines and still wines ranging from dry to sweet, as well as Touraine and Vin de France reds and rosés. Vineyard work includes mechanical soil cultivation, parcel-specific pruning and selective harvesting; the estate is transitioning to organic agriculture and avoids chemical products, using cover crops such as crimson clover to support soil fertility and biodiversity. Wines are made in temperature-controlled stainless steel, with some cuvées fermented and aged in barrel, and may mature in tuffeau cellars. The domaine combines traditional methods with ongoing experimentation and careful attention to terroir.
