Seegut Lentsch is a family-owned winery in Podersdorf am See, on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland. Founded in 1955, it is now run by the third generation, brothers Markus and Thomas Lentsch, with support from their parents. The estate’s vineyards benefit from a Pannonian climate and include historically significant sites, including Grauburgunder Ried Rohrjoch, documented for wine cultivation since 1782–1785, and the 48-year-old Blaufränkisch Ried Lüss vineyard. Although not certified, the family practices environmentally conscious, natural viticulture, using cover crops, rolling vegetation rather than repeated plowing, hand harvesting, and gentle processing. Markus, a trained winemaker, oversees the cellar and winemaking, while Thomas manages the vineyards and technical operations.
