Oremus

Hungary

Oremus is a historic winery in Tolcsva, in Hungary’s Tokaj region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for both dry whites and sweet Tokaji wines. Owned by the Álvarez family as part of the Tempos Vega Sicilia group, the estate is described as a symbol of Tokaj’s rebirth after communism, combining tradition with modernization and technological advancement. Its cellars extend through natural underground tunnels carved into volcanic soil dating back to the 13th century. Oremus produces classic sweet styles including Aszú, Late Harvest, and Eszencia, alongside dry whites such as Mandolás and Petracs.
