La Jara

Italy

La Jara is a family-owned estate in Mareno di Piave, in Veneto’s Treviso DOC, where the Marion family has cultivated vineyards since 1891. Brothers Massimo and Paolo Marion have managed the farm and made its wines since 1999, continuing a generational connection to the land while converting the estate to fully organic farming. The vineyards lie on flat, gravelly soils formed by white limestone stones from the Piave River, which contribute to fresh, mineral and varietal aromas. ICEA-certified organic and vegan, La Jara focuses on organic Prosecco and other wines, with sparkling wines made by the Charmat-Martinotti method. Its style emphasizes low residual sugar, lively acidity, a dry, decisive palate, and fresh fruit and floral notes.
