Domaine Henri Rebourseau

France

Domaine Henri Rebourseau is a historic Gevrey-Chambertin estate in Burgundy, with vineyards stretching from Gevrey-Chambertin to Vougeot and family roots dating to 1782. After Martin and Olivier Bouygues became majority shareholders in 2018, the de Surrel family remained in management, with Jean de Surrel leading winemaking and Bénigne and Louis de Surrel involved in production decisions. The domaine farms organically with biodynamic methods, a shift begun in 1980, and follows a minimal-intervention approach that includes avoiding copper, destemming, short tank fermentations and limited oak. Its work focuses on expressing the distinct character of its Côte de Nuits climats through careful vineyard attention and aging.
