Château Franc-Baudron

France

Château Franc-Baudron is a family-owned Bordeaux estate in the greater Saint-Émilion area, held by the Guimberteau family since 1923 and now run by Sophie Foray, Charles Foray, and Vincent. The domaine is organically certified and has converted its vineyards to biodynamic farming, with a wider goal of a self-sustaining environment. Vineyard work emphasizes observation, mechanical weeding, natural treatments, and healthy fruit. In the cellar, the approach is low-intervention, with indigenous yeasts, separate vinification by terroir, and restrained oak use. Charles oversees winemaking in a traditional Bordeaux style, aiming for wines of elegance, generosity, and vintage typicity rather than over-ripe profiles.
