Mulderbosch Vineyards

South Africa

Founded in 1989 on a run-down fruit farm in Stellenbosch Kloof, Mulderbosch has earned international acclaim for innovative South African wines, including benchmark Sauvignon Blanc, barrel-fermented Chenin Blanc and Cap Classique. Its diverse range includes red, white and rosé wines made as single-variety, single-vineyard, estate and blended expressions. The estate works with varied soils and cooling False Bay breezes, using precision farming, integrated pest management and habitat rehabilitation. Its solar-powered cellar includes stainless-steel and wooden vessels, while winery wastewater is treated through a bioreactor and reedbeds. All wines are vegan-friendly. Since 2010, the brand and vineyards have been owned by Terroir Capital, a California-based investment group founded by Charles Banks.
