Monte dos Perdigões

Portugal

Monte dos Perdigões is a historic estate in Reguengos de Monsaraz, Alentejo, with 500 years of history and vineyards including Trincadeira, Aragonez, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet. Owned by Henrique Granadeiro and operating within the fourth-generation family-owned Sogrape group, it combines a strong sense of place with careful cellar work. Grapes are hand-picked and fermented in French oak barrels and Alentejo marble tanks; reds mature sur lies in fine-grained, medium-toast Allier French oak tuns. The estate holds ViniPortugal’s National Sustainability Certification, reflecting practices including photovoltaic energy, efficient water management, biodiversity conservation and community support. Its cultural heritage is reinforced by the Confraria Santiago dos Perdigões, a non-profit association dedicated to promoting the estate’s wines and vineyards.
