Masseria Frattasi is a Clemente family-owned winery in Montesarchio, Campania, founded in 1779. Its mountain vineyards on Mount Taburno reach up to 920 metres, with steep slopes and clay, limestone and volcanic soils that demand heroic viticulture. The estate is certified SQNPI for sustainable integrated production and emphasizes traditional, environmentally compatible farming, including historic training methods and the preservation of old and pre-phylloxera vines. Native Campanian varieties—especially Falanghina, Aglianico, Fiano, Greco and Coda di Pecora—are central to the range, alongside selected international grapes. Single-parcel and high-altitude wines express the estate’s focus on identity, while projects such as the revived Kapnios use ancient drying and winemaking traditions. The style combines mountain freshness, intensity, elegance and strong territorial character.
