Te Mania is a family-owned winery in Nelson, near Tasman Bay at the top of New Zealand’s South Island. Established in 1991, it farms vineyards on ancient alluvial terraces with stony, free-draining soils in a cool maritime climate shaped by high sunshine and afternoon sea breezes. The estate is 100% organic certified and follows organic and biodynamic viticulture, with intensive manual vineyard work aimed at expressing terroir. Owned by Samantha and Lars Jensen, the label later merged with Richmond Plains and now uses contract winemaking facilities. Steve Gill has overseen the wines since 2009. Te Mania focuses on elegant, food-friendly wines, with an estate range and Reserve wines made only in the best years.
