Producer

Quinta da Lixa

Portugal

Quinta da Lixa is a family-owned producer in Lixa, Felgueiras, in Portugal’s Vinho Verde region. Founded in 1986 and run by the Meireles family, it focuses on traditional Portuguese grape varieties and makes wines under DOC and Vinho Verde designations, including still whites, reds, rosés, and sparkling wines. The estate follows an Integrated Production System with conservation-focused vineyard management and natural cellar methods such as gravity-flow processing. Winemaking is led by Carlos Teixeira. The operation is modern and export-oriented, with no formal sustainability certifications mentioned.
