Mas des Restanques

France

Mas des Restanques is a family-run estate in the Vacqueyras and Gigondas appellations of the Rhône Valley, founded in 1995 by Jean-Luc and Josiane Faraud. After years in a cooperative cellar, the family produced its first vintage in 2007. The vineyards moved to organic farming in 2009 and have been Ecocert-certified since 2012. Philippe Faraud joined his parents in 2019, bringing the second generation into the domaine. On clay-limestone soils, the family works with low yields, hand-picked and parcel-sorted grapes, natural yeasts, and careful winemaking. The wines are vegan and neither filtered nor fined, with AOC Gigondas, Vacqueyras, and Côtes du Rhône reds, whites, and rosés.
