Producer

Jakob Tennstedt

Germany

Jakob Tennstedt is an independent owner-winemaker based in the Middle Mosel, Germany, running his own eponymous winery. He focuses on low-intervention natural Riesling, sourcing fruit exclusively from organic vineyards and limiting sulfur to 50 mg/L. Tennstedt oversees both vineyard sourcing and cellar work, with a scientific yet intuitive approach to winemaking. His wines are aged in oak barrels for three to four years before release and are often bottled under Landwein or Deutscher Wein designations. The estate is family-run and privately held, with an emphasis on sustainable farming inputs and an artisanal, hands-on style.
