Portugal
Gazela is a Vinho Verde from Minho, produced and bottled by Sogrape Vinhos, Portugal’s largest wine company, founded in 1942. The brand originates at the 40-hectare Quinta de Azevedo estate, where the vineyards are farmed sustainably using modern grape-training techniques, although there is no formal sustainability certification and organic farming is limited by the region’s wet climate. Winemaker Diogo Sepúlveda oversees a four-grape blend made using continuous fermentation, resulting in a fresh, approachable regional style.
