Doppio Passo is a Puglian-focused Italian wine brand with family origins dating to 1928 near Venice, founded by Maria and Carlo Botter. Since 2020 it has operated as a joint venture between Argea SPA Group and Germany’s Rotkäppchen-Mumm Sektkellereien. Its wines center on Apulian Primitivo, alongside Sicilian Grillo and Moscato and Prosecco, still, low-alcohol and alcohol-free wines. The signature Primitivo uses a double-harvest technique, with grapes picked and fermented at two stages of ripeness to build a smooth, full-bodied and balanced style. The brand reports organic certification and sustainable farming practices, and also uses submerged-cap fermentation for its red wines.
